The Waves had a busy week in comparison to the rest of the conference with 2 games. Pepperdine fell to Cal State Fullerton in its first game of the week, and recorded an impressive road victory over Big West foe UC Irvine.

The Waves won on Saturday night against the Anteaters despite only getting 4 points and 6 rebounds from leading scorer and rebounder Brendan Lane. A good indication of this being possible is the Waves recently increased depth. Sophomore forward Jett Raines had a solid game in his second game back with 7 points and 6 rebounds. Having a wing like Raines back in the rotation will help Marty Wilson and co. a ton as the non-conference slate winds down and the conference season starts.

Pepperdine has only one game this week against Washington State.
