San Francisco did not play a game this week, which was probably needed considering the loss of Cody Doolin and the recent stepback against Illinois State.
This upcoming month will be a telling one for the future of the San Francisco men’s basketball program. If the Dons struggle in the next few games, including a blowout versus St. Johns, Rex Walters seat could start to warm up at a rapid pace. The Dons also need to focus on defense. Scoring is no problem for USF, but they are letting teams score 80.6 points per game, which is the worst statistic in that category in the West Coast Conference. This was surely a point of emphasis at San Francisco practices this past week.
The Dons take on (2-4) Nichols State this upcoming Saturday.
