In last year’s Battle in Seattle matchup, the Wildcats were overwhelmed by the Bulldogs, and were defeated by a score of 68-52. Kelly Olynyk was a force on the offensive end (20 points), and Kansas State guard Rodney McGruder had a miserable shooting outing (1 of 9 from the field). Both of those players have moved on, as has Kansas State guard Angel Rodriguez (transferred to Miami) and Gonzaga forward Elias Harris (graduation). Both teams have a completely new look and this game will take a completely different shape. Seniors Will Spradling and Shane Southwell will go toe-to-toe with the vaunted Gonzaga backcourt in this matchup.
