For the few weeks, I have been working on compiling a list of all the 2014 recruits that hold a WCC offer, or are garnering any interest from any of those schools as well. As many of my readers know, recruiting is extremely hard to follow, so if I missed anything on any of these guys, please let me know. (Twitter @WestCoastConvo Email:joshhorton123@hotmail.com) I made this list to give WCC fans an easy place to see which players are being recruited the hardest their favorite school. Enjoy!

Bryan Alberts

6’4″, 200 lb guard. Village Christian High Schoo l- Northridge, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Gonzaga.

This GU target has a lot of interest among the top programs around the country, yet his recruitment hasn’t quite taken off yet. Evan Flood from 247 Sports reported a while ago that Alberts will visit Spokane in October.

Ryan Andino

6’2”, 180 lb shooting guard. Fishburne Military Academy – Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

Recently Andino reclassified to the 2014 class and transferred to Fishburne Military Academy. Andino holds 5 offers from a quartet for Florida schools and USF. Pure shooter that can really stroke it from deep.

Ryan Andrus

6’10, 200 lb center. American Fork High School- American Fork, Utah

BYU COMMIT.

The in-state Andrus made his pledge to Dave Rose and the Cougars on July 31st, making him the fourth commit for BYU in the 2014 class. He decided to stay home, and picked BYU over Utah and Utah State.

Eugene Artison

6’8″, 185 lb power forward. Franklin High School – Seattle, Washington

Interest: LMU.
Offer(s): None.

The long and lanky post is being recruited fairly hard by the Lions. They have yet to offer him, but if everything shakes out the right way, an offer may be imminent.

Jon Averkamp

6’7″, 210 lb power forward. Germantown High School – Germantown, Wisconsin

Interest: Portland.

Offer(s): None.

Allegedly Portland has taken a few looks at this guy, and apparently he plays Volleyball as well. Not much information can be found on Averkamp. He was high school teammates with Indiana commit Luke Fischer.

Isaiah Bailey

6’5″, 190 lb shooting guard. Compton High School – Compton, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Gonzaga.

The uber athletic southern californian guard has an offer from Mark Few and company, along with San Diego State, Oregon State, and USC. He is not as technically sound as other players, but extremely explosive.

Lamonte Bearden

6’2”, 170 lb point guard. Germantown High School – Germantown, Wisconsin.

Committed to Buffalo.

Shemar Bennett

6’0″, 165 lb point guard. Parkview High School – Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pepperdine.

This point guard from the Deep South has landed an offer from the Pepperdine Waves. Not much else can be said about Bennett; there is not a lot of information on him.

Robbie Berwick

6’4″, 185 lb guard. Atascadero High School – Atascadero, California.

Interest: Gonzaga, Pacific, Pepperdine, and San Francisco.

Offer(s): Portland.

Berwick has a Portland offer on top of a ton of interest from other WCC schools. Florida State is his most prominent offer. Good grasp of the game and projects to be more of a point guard at the next level.

Brayon Blake

6’6″, 200 lb small forward. Federal Way High School – Federal Way, Washington

Interest: Portland.

Offer(s): LMU and Pacific.

With two WCC offers, there is a decent chance that Blake could land in the WCC. Blake is the type of player that plays bigger player than he size indicates. Very strong wing with a good handle.

Shon Briggs

6’5″, 195 lb power forward. Heritage High School – Brentwood, California.

Interest: Saint Mary’s and Santa Clara.

Offer(s): None.

Briggs has landed some interest from two of the bay area schools. Undersized for a power forward and should transition to the three to make the transition to college ball smoother.

Cane Broome

Committed to Sacred Heart.

Shaquille Carr

6’1″, 170 lb point guard. Canyon Springs High School – Las Vegas, Nevada.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): LMU.

This exceptionally solid point guard has picked up an LMU offer throughout the recruiting process. Rumored to be a UNLV lean.

Terrell Carter

6’9″, 275 lb center. West High School – Torrance, California.

Interest: LMU.

Offer(s): None.

This physical big man has garnered some attention from Max Good and the Lions. This is the type of prospect that seems like a project for the next level. He certainly has the frame for a division one center.

Kyron Cartwright

5’11”, 150 lb point guard. Compton High School – Compton, California.

Interest: Pepperdine.

Offer(s): LMU and San Diego.

This left handed point guard has some interest in some form or another from each of the Southern California schools. Enticing offensive player, but he has some work to do on the mental part of the game.

Robert Cartwright

Committed to Stanford

Christian Chapman

5’9″, unknown lb point guard. Impact Academy – Oakland, California.

Interest: Pacific.

Offer(s): None

There is not much information on this guy, but he has some interest from the Pacific Tigers.

Kameron Chatman

Committed to Michigan.

Zylan Cheatham

6’8″, 200 lb power forward. South Mountain High School – Phoenix, Arizona.

Interest: Gonzaga.

Offer(s): LMU and San Francisco.

Exciting prospect with raw athleticism. Cut his list to five, and Gonzaga, USF, and LMU were not included. Very unlikely that he will end up in the WCC.

Novian Cherry

6’5”, 185 lb shooting guard. ABCD Prep – San Diego, California.

Interest: LMU.

Offer(s): None.

They haven’t offered him yet, but LMU hosted Cherry on an unofficial visit on August 30th. Physical wing that is committed on the glass and can finish well at the rim. Utilizes the jump stop very well.

Derrick Clayton

6’5”, 180 lb shooting guard. Castro Valley High School – Castro Valley, California.

Interest: BYU and Santa Clara.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

This bouncy wing has generated some interest from the WCC. USF is one of Clayton’s four offers, which include Utah State, UC Davis, and San Jose State.

Bonzie Colson

6’5″, 215 lb forward. St. Andrews School – Barrington, Rhode Island.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): LMU.

LMU has offered this undersized forward, and are looking to make some splashes in his recruitment. Rumored to be a Notre Dame lean. Unfortunately for LMU, Colson narrowed his list, and the Lions were not included.

Lance Crawford

5’11”, 170 lb point guard. Pine Crest High School – Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Interest: San Francisco.

Offer(s): None.

Crawford reportedly has been receiving some interest from Rex Walters and the Dons. However, with Frankie Ferrari already committed to the Dons 2014 class as a point guard, it is unlikely much of a relationship will develop between Crawford and USF.

Payton Dastrup

6’9″, 220 lb power forward. Mountain View High School – Mesa, Arizona.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): BYU.

Dastrup is the number one priority for the Cougars the remainder of the 2014 recruiting season. BYU’s main contenders for this four star forwards services appear to be his hometown school, Arizona and Kansas.

Update 9/21/13: On September 20th, Dastrup took an official visit to BYU.

Armond Davis

6’5″, 170 lb small forward. Henry Foss High School – Tacoma, Washington.

Interest: LMU, Portland, and Saint Mary’s.

Offer(s): Pepperdine.

This is a player that saw his recruitment blow up during the July recruiting session. He possesses a wiry frame and is an overall playmaker. Check out our interview with him here.

Tavrion Dawson

6’7″, 195 lb power forward. Junipero Serra High School – Gardena, California.

Interest: Gonzaga and Pepperdine.

Offer(s): LMU and Santa Clara.

Dawson has a lot of interest from mid-major schools. Great all around post game, with a mid-range jumper to compliment it.

Jordan Dembley

6’1”, unknown lb point guard. Holy Angels High School – Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

With Frankie Ferrari’s commitment to the Don, it is unclear if another point guard will join the San Francisco basketball program for the 2014-2015 season. However, Rex Walters has offered the Minnesota floor general a scholarship, which could mean USF wants another PG to compete with Ferrari.

Pape Diatta

6’7”, 190 lb shooting guard. The Rock School – Gainesville, Florida.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

According to Verbal Commits, Pape Diatta has an offer from the Dons. Diatta is a rangy player that plays like a point forward. He can slash to the basket and force the issue on the break, as well as pass to teammates when they are open. Could possibly play the small forward position in the WCC.

Cameron Dozier

6’1″, 175 lb point guard. Tallahassee CC – Tallahasee, Florida.

Interest: LMU.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

Rex Walters has shown that he is not afraid to go clear across the country for a recruit. In this particular case, it is Cameron Dozier, who is from Tallahassee Community College. Dozier is likely a mid-major type prospect, and could possibly be the second point guard of the Dons 2014 class, joining Frankie Ferrari.

Trevor Dunbar

5’10”, 160 lb point guard. St. Ignatius High School. San Francisco, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): San Diego.

According to Rivals, Dunbar has received an offer from Bill Grier and the San Diego Torero’s. Dunbar is short, stocky, and super shifty. He is close to unstoppable when he is excelling in the open court and in transition. Would not be surprised if the Bay Area schools offered Dunbar as well.

Denevir Duruisseau

6’8″, unknown lb power forward. Sylmar High School – Palmdale, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): LMU, Pepperdine, and Portland.

Possibly the craziest name on the whole list. Duruisseau is a strong rebounder and defender, from all reports. LMU, Pepperdine, and Portland have offered.

Stephen Edwards

6’2″, 160 lb point guard. Putnam City High School – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Committed to Santa Clara

This extremely athletic point guard recently cut his list to four schools, and Santa Clara was included. He is taking an official visit to Santa Clara on September 1st. On September 3rd, Edwards committed to Santa Clara. Read about it here.

Brady Ellingson

Committed to Iowa.

Obi Enechionyia

Committed to Temple.

Dante Exum

6’6″, 180 lb point guard. Australian Institute of Sport – Canabera, SW.

Interest: Saint Mary’s.

Offer(s): None.

The Gaels emerged as a contender for Exum back in spring, but the interest between the two appear to have fizzled since then. Exum is a lottery pick caliber player and is contemplating going straight to the NBA. Seems like the WCC is a little out of his league at this point, but the Gaels can bank on there Australian pipeline in hopes of bringing him in. Cannot confirm a SMC offer, but he likely has one. Exum recently listed his top five, and the Gaels were not listed.

Frankie Ferrari

5’11, unknown lb point guard. Burlingame High School – Burlingame, California

University of San Francisco Commit.

The small but shifty point guard from Northern California gave his allegiance to Rex Walters and the USF basketball program on August 1st. Ferrari loves to make the exciting pass, and can really stroke it from deep. Read more about Ferrari’s commitment to the Dons here.

Evan Fitzner

6’9, 210 lb power forward. Francis Parker School – San Diego, California.

Interest: Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s.

Offer(s): LMU, Pepperdine, Portland, San Diego, and San Francisco.

Fitzner’s stock has been recruited by a decent amount of Pac-12 schools, and is considered one of the best shooting big men out west. He has received a lot of love from WCC schools, but Pac-12 seems like a more reasonable destination for Fitzner at this point.

Jackson Forbes

6’6″, unknown lb power forward. Plano High School – Plano, Texas.

Interest: Portland.

Offer(s): None.

Not much information can be found on Forbes, but apparently the Pilots have interest. Unfortunately for the Pilots, Forbes has narrowed his list, and the Pilots did not make the cut.

Chase Foster

6’5”, 170 lb small forward. Valor Christian High School – Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Committed to San Francisco

According to Verbal Commits, Rivals, and 247 sports, Chase Foster holds an offer from the San Francisco Dons. The team on his offer sheet that truly stands out are the Colorado Buffaloes, who think Foster can make an impact in Boulder. On September 2nd, Chase Foster committed to the Dons, making him USF’s second commitment of the 2014 class.

Elijah Foster

6’8″, 240 lb center. Rainier Beach High School – Seattle, Washington.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): LMU.

LMU have taken an interest in Foster for quite a while now, before offering him on July 29th. Very explosive big man that can play above the rim.

Ian Fox

6’0″, 155 lb point guard. Redondo Union High School – Redondo Beach, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pepperdine.

This deceptively quick guard is garnering some interest from Marty Wilson and the Waves. He can knock down three’s consistently and has a mid-range game to boot. Over-penetrates at times and gets himself into trouble.

Ron Freeman

6’5″, 180 lb small forward. Junipero Serra High School – Inglewood, California.

Interest: LMU, Pepperdine, and Portland.

Offer(s): None.

The two LA schools, along with Portland are both showing interest in Ron Freeman, a three star wing from Inglewood, California. Freeman has a great frame (length, size), and can score in a number of different ways. On August 21st, Freeman took an unofficial visit to LMU.

Joe Furstinger

Committed to New Mexico

Jonathan Galloway

6’8″, 200 lb power forward. Salesian High School – Brentwood, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pacific.

The Tigers appear to be one of the front runners for Galloway at the moment. Holds a Cal-Poly offer as well.

*Update 9-14: Galloway took an unofficial visit to Pacific on September 14th.

Nate Gehring

6’10”, 220 lb center. Waukee High School – Waukee, Iowa.

Pepperdine Commit

The 3-star center from Iowa is apparently generating some interest from Marty Wilson and the Waves.  Most of his offers/interest come from teams from the Mid-West. Gehring took an unofficial visit to Pepperdine on August 23rd.

Update 9/21/13: On September 17th, Gehring committed to Pepperdine, read about it here.

Ronnie Harrell

Committed to Creighton.

Marcus Harris

5’11”, 160 lb point guard. MacArthur High School – San Antonio, Texas.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): LMU and San Diego.

This Texas point guard has received offers from a great deal of mid-major programs, such as LMU and San Diego. Great scoring point guard.

Update: 9/21/13: Harris committed to San Diego on September 19th. Read about it here.

TJ Haws

6’4″, 170 lb shooting guard. Lone Peak High School – Highland, Utah.

BYU Commit.

This high profile guard from one of the best high school basketball programs in the country has been committed to BYU for quite some time now. His game is eerily similar to his brother Tyler Haws, who already plays for the Cougars. TJ Haws has a great mid-range game, and can drive to the hoop and finish through contact. Haws will go on a two-year LDS mission before joining the Cougars basketball team.

Maleke Haynes

5’11”, 160 lb point guard. El Camino Real High School – Woodlands, California.

Interest: LMU and San Diego.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

This short but explosive point guard has quite a bit of interest from WCC schools. However, the only one to extend an offer to him is USF.

Matt Hubbard

6’10”, unknown lb center. Colville High School – Colville, Wash.

Santa Clara Commit

On September 29th, Matt Hubbard made a commitment to Santa Clara. This promising big man could be a project, but Santa Clara hopes he will turn into the programs next great center. Read up on Hubbard here.

Braxton Huggins

6’2″, 175 lb shooting guard. Miramonte High School – Bakersfield, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pacific.

Huggins has a lot of offers from mid-major programs throughout the West Coast, including the Tigers. Great shooter.

Michael Humphrey

6’10, 205 lb center. Sunnyslope High School – Phoenix, Arizona.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): LMU, Pepperdine, Portland, and Saint Mary’s.

One of the elite big men on the West Coast. He holds offers from a great deal of major programs such as Indiana, Texas, and UCLA. Would be surprising if he ended up in the WCC. Humphrey recently just narrowed his list, and not one WCC team made the cut.

Avery Johnson Jr.

5’9″, 175 lb point guard. Cooper High School – The Woodlands, Texas.

Interest: Santa Clara.

Offer(s): None.

Santa Clara has apparently taken an interest in Avery Johnson Jr., son of former Dallas Mavericks and New Jersey Nets head coach Avery Johnson.

Brett Jolly

6’10”, unknown lb center. Blair Academy – Southlake, Academy.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pepperdine.

This player reclassified to the 2014 class and picked up an offer from Pepperdine in the process. He is a rail but can hit shots from the outside. Uses his body well in the post.

Max Hoetzel

6’7″, 210 lb small forward. Wilbraham and Monson Academy – Wilbraham, Massachusetts.

Interest: Saint Mary’s, San Francisco, and Santa Clara

Offer(s): LMU, Pacific, and San Diego.

Another guy with plenty of WCC interest. The WCC seems like a great fit for his skill set. Hoetzel is transferring to Wilbraham and Monson academy in Massachusetts because his family is moving, but also to generate more interest from East coast schools.

Elston Jones

6’9″, 220 lb center. Millennium Charter – Goodyear, Arizona.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): San Francisco and Saint Mary’s.

This big bruiser down low has impressed Rex Walters enough to earn an offer from the University of San Francisco. Randy Bennett is watching him closely as well.

Natan Jurkowitz

6’7″, unknown lb power forward. Lake Oswego High School – Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Interest: Portland and San Diego.

Offer(s): None.

This under the radar recruit has apparently been watched closely by Pilots coach Eric Reveno as well as the University of San Diego. High school teammate of incoming Saint Mary’s freshman Calvin Hermanson.

Trey Kell

Committed to San Diego State.

Zack Kupferberg

6’8″, 220 lb small forward. Francis W Parker High School – Chicago, Illinois.

Interest: Pepperdine and San Francisco.

Offer(s): LMU.

This large wing from the Windy city has generated a little bit of interest from WCC schools. LMU wants this player fairly bad.

Riley LaChance

Committed to Vanderbilt.

Naim Ladd

5’9″, 150 lb point guard. Rainier Beach High School – Seattle, Washington.

Interest: Santa Clara.

Offer(s): None.

Ladd maybe small, but he is nearly unstoppable when he catches fire. This streaky shooter can get hot and his three point range can single handedly take over a game. However, his lack of height will deter schools from offering Ladd. A WCC school could afford to take a chance on him though. Naim Ladd is the brother of former Fresno State and Washington State guard Mike Ladd.

Jacob Lampkin

6’7″. 195 lb power forward. O’Dea High School – Seattle, Washington.

Pacific Commit.

The long, but very skinny Lampkin committed to the University of the Pacific on September 8th, two days after his official visit to Stockton. For more on his commitment, click here.

Eli Lininger

6’5″, 200 lb small forward. South Eugene High School – Eugene, Oregon.

Interest: San Francisco.

Offer(s): Portland.

Lininger was offered a scholarship from the University of Portland in June, giving him his first WCC offer. He has offers from mostly mid-major programs at the moment, and it is likely that he will eventually end up at that type of school.

Jay Macintyre

5’10”, 178 lb point guard. Monarch High School – Louisville, Colorado.

Interest: Pacific.

Offer(s): None.

The dual-sport phenom Macintyre has reportedly been recruited by Pacific, but it is likely that he will play football in college rather than basketball. Macintyre is the son of Colorado Buffaloes Head Football Coach, Mike Macintyre.

Austin Malone-Mitchell

5’8″, unknown lb point guard. Midwest Elite Prep Academy – Merrillville, Indiana.

Interest: Portland.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

Formerly of the 2013 class, Malone-Mitchell has decided to go the prep school route instead of going to college right away. Future is uncertain, but holds a USF offer.

Josh Martin

Committed to Minnesota.

Spencer Mathis

6’6″, 180 lb small forward. Valley High School – Las Vegas, Nevada.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Portland and Santa Clara.

This heady and versatile three man has received scholarship offers from both the Pilots and Broncos. Cal State Fullerton, Idaho State, Northern Colorado, and Southern Utah are the other teams to offer Mathis, according to Rivals.

Jordan Mclaughlin

Committed to USC.

Silas Melson

6’2″, 170 lb shooting guard. Jefferson High School – Portland, Oregon.

Gonzaga Commit.

Mark Few hopes Melson will be the first of many commits in the 2014 class. The Bulldogs and the Washington Huskies were the clear favorites to land Melson, and Mark Few bested Romar in this battle. Melson has a sweet stroke from deep and makes a living getting to the free throw line. He is a bulldog on defense and uses his active hands to generate steals that ultimately lead to easy buckets on the other end. For more coverage on Melson’s commitment, click here.

Terrell Miller

6’8”, 255 lb power forward. Arlington County Day School – Jacksonville, Florida.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

Rex Walters and his staff has extended an offer out to Terrell Miller, a bruising power forward out of Jacksonville, Florida. Miller has great shooting touch for someone his size, and can knock down shots as far as beyond the three point line. Depaul, Florida A&M, and Wichita State have offered Miller as well.

Arkadiy Mkrtychyan

6’6″, 220 lb small forward. Columbia Christian High School – Portland, Oregon.

Interest: Portland and Saint Mary’s.

Offer(s): None.

Mkrtychyan is a little under the radar, but Randy Bennett is showing this small forward a great deal of interest. Saint Mary’s is showing the most interest in Mkrytychyan, and Portland is rumored to be interested in this local product. Check out our Q & A with him!

Jeff Newberry

Committed to Oklahoma State.

Dalton Nixon

6’7″, 220 lb small forward. Orem High School – Orem, Utah.

BYU Commit.

This rangy tweener between the small forward and power forward positions committed to BYU all the way back in August, 2012. He has a high basketball IQ and can step back and nail a three. Just one piece of BYU’s loaded 2014 recruiting class.

Deontae Norton

6’4″, 185 lb shooting guard. Cenntenial High School – Corona, Califonria.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pepperdine.

Not a lot of information can be found on North, but allegedly he has some interest from Pepperdine. Local player that is streotyped as a “slasher.”

Nick Norton

5’11”, 175 lb point guard. Rock Bridge High School – Columbia, Missouri.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): San Diego.

On August 28th, Nick Norton picked up an offer from San Diego. Norton is a great catch and shoot player and can hit shots from way down town.

Goodluck Okonoboh

Committed to UNLV.

Benson Osayande

6’7″, 205 lb small forward. Franklin High School – Elk Grove, Califonia.

Interest: Portland and Pacific.

Offer(s): None.

Benson Osayande is a northern California kid that has received some interest from schools on the west coast. This player seems destined for a conference such as the WCC.

Glen Owen

6’2″, 190 lb point guard. St. John Lutheran High School – Ocala, Florida.

Interest: San Francisco.

Offer(s): None.

According to his twitter account, Glen Owen is receiving heavy interest from the University of San Francisco. This is certainly a player to keep an eye out for in the coming months.

Josh Perkins

6’2″, 175 lb point guard. Huntington Prep School – Huntington, West Virgina.

Gonzaga Commit.

On August 24th, Josh Perkins committed to Gonzaga, making him the second verbal commit for the Bulldogs 2014 class. Mark Few and his staff essentially stalked Perkins this past year; they went to every AAU game and kept constant communication with him. Perkins final three ended up being Gonzaga, UCLA, and Minnesota. UConn and Kentucky were also in the mix, although Kentucky never offered. Perkins is a consensus four or five star recruit, and is in the top 40 overall players 0n every recruiting services. He is one of the best passers in the 2014 class, if not the best. His court vision is impeccable and is great at find the open teammate. He is a pass-first point guard, but he can score as well. Here is an even more coverage on Perkins commitment and here is a breakdown of his game.

Dorian Pickens

6’4″, 180 lb shooting guard. Pinnacle High School – Phoenix, Arizona.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Gonzaga.

Pickens is a player that would be a great fit for the WCC. He makes very smart decisions and can shoot the ball from the parking lot. He is a decent athlete, and has the ability to run the entire offense with his basketball savvy. On August 25th, Pickens named his top seven schools, and Gonzaga made the cut alongside Oregon, Stanford, USC, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, and UCLA. I cannot confirm that he has a GU offer, but there is a solid chance that he does.

Malik Pope

6’9″, 210 lb small forward. Laguna Creek High School – Elk Grove, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Gonzaga.

Malik Pope is another person of serious interest for the Gonzaga coaching staff. Pope sustained an injury back in February and has been out ever since. His recruitment stalled, but the Zags remain to be a factor. Pope cut his school list to 9, and the Zags made the cut. This five-star wing would be a phenomenal addition to the Bulldogs roster, but it will be tough for Few to land him; Arizona, Kansas, UCLA, San Diego State, Washington, USC, Oregon, Washington, and California are all hot on his trail.

Update 9/21/13: On September 7th, Pope re-fractured his tibia. Not sure what this means for his recruitment, and if the Zags will back off of him or not.

Logan Power

6’5″, unknown lb small forward. Lincoln Christian High School – Lincoln, Nebraska.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pacific.

This is an under the radar guy that has a Pacific offer. Last season at Lincoln Christian, Power averaged 17.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Not a lot of information on this guy at the moment.

Julian Richardson

6’2, 175 lb shooting guard. El Camino Real High School – Woodland Hills, California.

Interest:  N/A.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

Richardson is a player that reportedly has been being recruited by Rex Walters and his staff. This is a budding prospect with a good grasp for the game.

Alex Rifkind

6’1″, unknown lb shooting guard. North Broward Prep – Coconut Creek, Florida.

LMU Commit.

This sharpshooter from Florida committed to LMU on August 25th, making him the Lions first 2014 commitment. For an in-depth analysis of Rifkind’s game, and expanded coverage of Rifkind’s commitment, check out this link.

Grant Sims

Committed to Illinois-Chicago

Elliot Smith

6’5″, 185 lb small forward. Freedom High School – Oakley, California.

Interest: Saint Mary’s, San Francisco, and Santa Clara.

Offer(s): Pacific.

This up and coming wing has interest from a number of WCC schools. Although he has a few Pac-12 schools interested in him as well, a conference like the WCC would be the best fit for him.

Quentin Snider

Committed to Illinois.

Jawan Stepney

6’3″, 180 lb guard. Kentridge High School – Kent, Washington.

Interest: Portland.

Offer(s): None.

Stepney has been hearing from the Portland Pilots, along with a handful of other West Coast schools. He attends the same high school that Gonzaga guard Gary Bell Jr. went to, Kentridge High School.

Myles Stewart

6’3″, 175 lb shooting guard. Westchester High School – Los Angeles, California.

Interest: LMU, Pacific, and Pepperdine.

Offer(s): None.

Myles Stewart is a high caliber prospect with a great deal of WCC interest. He has a refined offensive arsenal and can play great defense.

Darrion Strong

6’1”, 180 lb point guard. Quakerdale New Promise Academy – New Providence, Iowa.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): San Francisco.

Yet another point guard offer from the Dons. With Frankie Ferrari’s commitment, one would think the Dons would be holding off on point guards, but that does not seem to be the case.

Mason Stuteville

6’9″, unknown lb power forward. Casa Roble High School – Orangeville, California.

Interest: Pepperdine.

Offer(s): Pacific.

This Sacramento area big man has an offer from the Tigers and some interest from the Waves. Skinny player, but can play physical and bring down rebounds.

Jared Stutzman

6’5″, 195 lb shooting guard. Bonneville High School – Idaho Falls, Idaho.

San Francisco Commit.

Although Stutzman is taking a 2 year LDS mission after his senior year of high school, he is listed as a 2014 prospect. Stutzman is a great shooter, and loves to launch it from deep. His shooting stroke is smooth, and he has a quick release. With his ability to hit the three that is complemented with a solid mid-range game, he will be a great fit for Rex Walters’s offense – assuming that he is still at USF by 2016. Stutzman had a Portland offer, and had interest from BYU before committing to the Dons. Here is an article that further explains Stutzman’s commitment to the Dons.

Iziahiah Sweeney

6’2″, 155 lb shooting guard. Compton High School – Compton, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Gonzaga, LMU, and San Diego.

The freakishly athletic Sweeney is a guy that has been on the Zags, Lions, and Toreros radars for quite a while. Sweeney has one of quickest first steps on the West Coast, and is certainly a high level division one athlete. However, his game is still evolving, and Pac-12 schools are hesitant to go all-in on Sweeney.

Gabe Taylor

6’7″, 185 lb small forward. Valley Catholic High School – Beaverton, Oregon.

Portland Commit.

After averaging 22 points per game at 6A Newberg High School in Newberg, Oregon – which is the highest classification – Taylor took an unusual move and transferred to 3A Valley Catholic. Usually players that thrive at the highest level do not go down in classification, but Taylor did exactly that and it worked out. During December, he committed to the Pilots; the only school that had offered him a scholarship. According to 247 sports, Oregon was heavily interested in Taylor, but the Pilots got to him first. Taylor is an exciting prospect that excels at putting the ball in the basket. He is a great land for the Pilots.

Ethan Telfair

Committed to Northwest Florida State JUCO

Matthew Thomas

6’7″, unknown lb forward-center. Newark High School – Newark, California.

Interest: Pacific.

Offer(s): None.

Not a lot of information can be found on Thomas, but he apparently has some interest from Pacific.

Tre’Shawn Thurman

6’7″, 205 lb power forward. Central High School – Omaha, Nebraska.

Interest: Pacific.

Offer(s): None.

Pacific is going after Midwestern gem Tre’Shawn Thomas. He is an athletic big man that plays above the rim.

Jason Todd

6’6″, 200 lb small forward. Jackson High School – Mill Creek, Washington.

Portland Commit

Todd has the type of game that is tailor made for the WCC. He is a workhorse on the offensive end, and can get buckets in multiple different ways. Per an interview with Kevin Cacabelos (which can be read here), Todd listed San Diego, Gonzaga, Santa Clara, and Portland as the schools showing him the most interest. Since that interview, Pacific has gotten in on Todd and offered him a scholarship.

*Update (9/6/13): Pacific is now out of the mix; Todd is now down to Portland and Santa Clara.

Update 9/21/13: Todd committed to Reveno and the Pilots on September 11th. Read about it here.

Jake Toolson

6’5″, 200 lb small forward. Highland High School – Gilbert, Arizona.

BYU Commit.

This Arizona swingman committed to the Cougars on February 19th of this year, a week after BYU offered him. Toolson can really stroke it from deep, and could make a serious impact during his freshman year in Provo. Toolson is a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, and will play one year at BYU before taking a two year mission.

Reid Travis

6’8″, 240 lb power forward. De La Salle High School – Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Interest: N/A

Offers: Gonzaga and San Francisco.

Reid Travis is one of the most explosive big men in the nation, and Gonzaga is a serious contender for his services. Travis took a visit to the GU campus in June, and has listed the Zags as a team of interest several times in interviews. Travis is phenomenal football player as well, but has decided to focus solely on basketball in college. The Dons have offered Travis but they do not seem like contenders at this point in time.

*Update (9/6/13): Reid Travis has cut his list to seven schools. Gonzaga is included, but San Francisco is not.

*Update (10/5/13): Travis cuts his list to 4. Gonzaga, Minnesota, Duke, and Gonzaga all make it.

Dejon Twist

6’3″, 160 lb guard. El Camino Fundamental  High School – Sacramento, Calif.

Interest: Santa Clara.

Offer(s): None.

Almost no information can be found on Twist, but Santa Clara is interested, along with Denver and Buffalo.

D’Marques Tyson

6’6″, 195 lb shooting guard. Quality Education Academy – Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pacific.

This Washington native will transfer down to Quality Education Academy to play his senior year, and should earn a few East Coast offers as a results. As of now, Tyson has an offer from the Pacific Tigers, which he picked up in late July. Rangy wing that is still growing.

D.J. Ursery

6’3″, 175 lb small forward. Crespi Carmelite High School – Encino, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Pacific and Pepperdine.

D.J. Ursey, a wing from Southern California, has offers from two WCC schools: Pepperdine and Pacific. Ursey is a little undersized for the small forward position, but has a great deal of length. He excels in most aspects of the game. Solid player.

David Wacker

6’9″, 230 lb center. Judson High School – Universal City, Texas.

Committed to Boise State.

Lamonte Walker

6’4″, 180 lb small forward. Morgan Park High School – Chicago, Illinois.

Interest: Portland.

Offer(s): None.

Walker has been receiving some interest from Coach Reveno and the Pilots. He plays for the AAU team “Mac Irvin Fire”, which includes the no. 1 ranked center in the 2014 class, Jahlil Okafor.

Thomas Welsh

7’0″, 200 lb center. Loyola High School – Los Angeles, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Gonzaga, Pacific, Portland, San Francisco, Santa Clara.

Welsh is a center from the Southern California area that is consensus top 100 prospect. He has a ton of WCC offers, but a lot of Pac-12 offers as well. If Welsh ended up somewhere other than the Pac-12, I would be surprised. That doesn’t change the fact that Welsh would be an enormous get for any of the teams listed above.

Kaleb Warner

6’4″, 180 lb shooting guard. Mercer Island High School – Mercer Island, Washington.

Committed to Pacific.

Warner made his commitment to Ron Verlin and the Tigers on September 9th. Warner is a long and wirey shooting guard with a good feel for scoring the basketball. Oddly enough, Pacific was not one of the teams that I had as a team of interest for Warner. For more on his commitment, check out this article.

Mason Washington

5’10”, unknown lb point guard. Modesto Christian High School – Modesto, California.

Interest: Pacific.

Offer(s): None.

There is absolutely no information on Washington, but he is allegedly receiving some interest from the University of the Pacific.

Devin Watson

5’10”, 150 lb point guard. Army and Navy Academy – Carlsbad, California.

Committed to Oregon State.

Jack Williams

6’8″, 200 lb power forward. Chaminade High School – West Hills, California.

Committed to Long Beach State.

D.J. Wilson

6’8″, 215 lb power forward. Capital Christian High School – Sacramento, California.

Interest: N/A.

Offer(s): Gonzaga, LMU and San Francisco.

This long and lanky four man from Sacramento has earned offers from Gonzaga, LMU and USF with his solid play. His skills in the open-court are advanced for a big man, and is a better ball-handler than some guards. Wilson has some interest from Mountain-West schools, and a few Pac-12 schools. It would be a huge get for LMU or San Francisco to land Wilson, but they will have to compete with some elite West Coast schools in order to get him. Gonzaga is also in the mix for Wilson, and according to Rivals he is visiting Gonzaga on September 21st.

Sherron Wilson

6’6″, 215 lb small forward. Sierra High School – Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Interest: LMU and Santa Clara.

Offer(s): None.

Wilson is a player that has been growing rapidly these last few years, and he might not be done. Just a few years ago, Wilson was about 6’3″ and playing shooting guard. Now he is 6’6″, and projects to be more of wing. If he grew an inch or to 6’7″ or 6’8″, he could be a tough matchup for any opposing small forward. LMU and Santa Clara are interested in Wilson. Colorado is reportedly close to offering this up and coming wing.

Isaiah Wright

Committed to UTAH.

Namon Wright

Committed to Missouri.

Temidayo Yussef

Committed to Long Beach State.
