Trending
A six-game losing streak isn’t exactly an ideal ending to the regular season. The Lions haven’t won a game in nearly a month and sit squarely in last place in the West Coast Conference. Now, much of this is expected as this squad is still learning to function under the direction of Mike Dunlap. This program is headed in the right direction, but this season certainly isn’t one to remember for LMU.
How the Lions Can Win it All
Find some balance in their offense. Most nights, the scoreboard will look something like this: Payne: 23 points – Okonji: 14 – Mornar: 13 – Everyone else: 10. LMU will need contributions from everyone on their squad if they don’t want their season to end on Friday.
Predicted Finish
Loyola Marymount won’t be making a national post-season tournament. Based on their past six games, the Lions won’t be in Las Vegas too long. This team is capable of winning a game or two in the WCC tournament, but the question lies in whether or not they can ignore this past month and focus solely on the task ahead – that task being, defeating Santa Clara on Friday in the Orleans Arena.
