Gabe Levin Transfers To Marquette
By Josh Horton
LMU transfer Gabe Levin decided this morning on where he would be transferring to, choosing between Northwestern, Marquette and Notre Dame. When it came down to it, Levin decided to become a Golden Eagle and transfer to Marquette University. The news was first reported by Jacey Zembal, the co-editor of thewolfpacker.com:
Levin will have three years of eligibility left to play at Marquette. He will sit out the upcoming season and make his debut the following year for Marquette.

The Golden Eagles are receiving a quality player in Levin, who was named to the West Coast Conference’s All-WCC freshman team this past season. Levin averaged 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds last year, and his numbers could have been even better if Levin did not have to battle injury for a portion of the season.
Levin showed explosiveness at the power forward position, allowing him to make electrifying plays on the offensive end and rebound out of his area. The 6-foot-7 forward can shoot the ball from long range as well. Overall, Levin will be a really nice pick-up for Marquette with his talent and skill set.
This news must be a punch in the gut for LMU and its fans. Levin was a big time player and contributor for the Lions last season, and was poised to become an All-WCC type player for them. Obviously, three schools thought that Levin was good enough to play in the ACC, Big East and Big 10, and invest in him for the future.
Also of note, Levin is the second WCC player to transfer to Marquette this offseason. Matt Carlino will play at Marquette this upcoming season.
