By Josh Horton
Former Pepperdine wing Malcolm Brooks has found a new home at Cal State Fullerton, first reported by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
Brooks will sit out next season, but he will play the following year for the Titans, his last season for eligibility.

Brooks was a double-digit scorer for Pepperdine last season, averaging 10.3 points. Brooks also averaged 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists as well.
The Brooklyn native was prone for offensive outbursts last season, particularly in the latter part of the season. A 20 point outing against San Diego on Dec 28 was followed by a 24 point performance against BYU on Dec 30, earning Brooks WCC Player of the Weak honors.
The Waves will certainly miss Brooks 3-point shooting, as he connected on 39.6 percent of his long balls this past season.
Brooks originally started out at Lamar Community College, where he starred his freshman and sophomore seasons before playing his junior year at Pepperdine.
What is Cal State Fullerton getting in Brooks?
The Titans are adding a player with a full arsenal of skills offensively. He can do it all, with the ability to get to the tin, shoot off the dribble and hit set shots from outside.
What is Pepperdine missing in Brooks?
First and foremost, Pepperdine is missing out on a sure-fire starter, as Brooks started 28 games for the Waves last season.
Coach Marty Wilson will need to replace his spot and his production. At the three, the Waves will likely turn to either Lamond Murray Jr. or Atif Russell.
