After getting off to a little bit of a slow start on the recruiting front, Mike Dunlap and the LMU Lions have landed two commitments in a short amount of time.
Simon Krajcovic, a 2014 point guard from Canarias Basketball Academy in Spain, signed his letter of intent with the team this morning according to a release for the LMU website.
The Slovakia native has been on the republic’s national team since he was 16-years-old, providing a great deal of international flavor and experience to the Lions for the coming years.
At the 2011-2012 U18 European Championships, Krajcovic 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 7.4 assists, including a 13 points and 13 assist performance against Switzerland. Krajcovic and the Slovak Republic went 5-2 throughout the tournament and finished 10th overall.
Krajcovic played in the National Prep School Invitational the winter of 2012, where he averaged 13.3 points, 7.3 assists and 2.7 steals. Canarias Basketball Academy went 3-1 in the tournament with its only loss coming to St. Thomas More. In the loss, Krajcovic finished with a team-high 25 points.
Lions fans can take a sigh of relief after the Lions two commitments in the last few days. Krajcovic joins Devin Wyatt, a recruit from the Max Good regime, and Junior College wing David Humphries.
