No. 4- Duda Sanadze (San Diego)

Preseason  Rank: NR

By James Pigott

Duda Sanadze had a very solid year in his inaugural season in the West Coast Conference.  Hailing from the country Georgia, he brought that typical European style game to San Diego, with his long range 3 point bombs and an occasional ability to get in the lane for floaters.  He also put a decent amount of foul pressure on opposing teams, averaging 3.8 free throw attempts per game.  Despite averaging almost 13 points a games, Sanadze was very much a streaky volume shooter.  If he was off, he could shoot the Toreros out of games.  But when he was on, he could hide Christopher Anderson’s poor shooting games.  In fact, the Toreros were 3-1 when Sanadze scored over 20 points.

If Sanazde can improve his shot selection (and in turn his shooting percentage), he has the chance to be a deadly third option in the San Diego backcourt with Johnny Dee and Christopher Anderson.  At 6’5 and 220 pounds, he is a load for most WCC teams to handle.
