West Coast Convo’s All-WCC First Team

Brad Waldow – Center – Saint Mary’s
All season long, the Gaels offense ran through Waldow. With a bevy of shooters around him, Waldow forced defense’s to collapse down on him by asserting himself in the post and giving Stephen Holt, Kerry Carter, James Walker III and Beau Levesque open shots on the perimeter. It became clear in non-conference play that Waldow will be a force during WCC play, and he proved that to be true this season.
Waldow, like most players featured on our All-WCC teams, had his best season yet. The junior center averaged 15.6 points and 7.6 rebounds, both of which were career highs.
Waldow not only made a name for himself this season with his stellar play, but by his signature look which features a mouthguard with fangs depicted on it (pictured above). Some people love, some people hate it, but there is no denying that it gives Waldow an style unlike any other.
The Shingle Springs, Calif. native was instrumental to any of the Gaels success this season, and Saint Mary’s would not have been able to win 20-plus games for the seventh straight season.
