Gabe Levin – Forward – LMU

If there’s any big man not named Gabe Levin who was more integral to the success of this Lions team this season, I have yet to come upon him. Mainly because that player doesn’t exist.
Gabe Levin is the be-all and end-all for the Lions’s future front court success. Despite missing a few games this season due to injury, Levin was able to accumulate 7.1 rebounds a game, which made him the leader in that category for LMU. Levin was a vacuum under the rim, snagging all the missed shots that came near him. Levin is also valuable in the sense that he’s a good scorer. Attributing 11 points per game for the Lions, Levin was a direct part of every win. It’s also great watching Levin play, as he’s actually one of LMU’s best shooters and is skilled at shooting the three ball. LMU hasn’t had a skilled big man since Ashley Hamilton left and Gabe Levin is certainly the player to meet those expectations–and break them.
