Pepperdine ran into a bit of trouble this past week with the bay area schools, dropping both of its games by a combined 32 points. Despite this, Pepperdine did not fall in the power rankings and maintained their five seed.
The Waves were run out of their own building against San Francisco, and followed that up by being upset by Santa Clara, thanks to the hot shooting of freshman phenom Jared Brownridge.
Pepperdine plays Saint Mary’s in the second round of the WCC tournament on Saturday.
