Going into Saturday, the Santa Clara Broncos were looking up. They were playing on senior night against their bay area rival who they’ve already beaten, and had their eyes on maybe stealing the 6th seed in the WCC tournament. Following a whooping by Saint Mary’s on Saturday, the Broncos must focus on playing well going into the tournament. The bright spot for the Broncos is that their potential first round matchup, Pacific, came into the Leavey Center on Thursday and lost by 20. If the Broncos get that kind of inside production in the tournament, they will be a dangerous matchup for a higher seed in the quarterfinals.
