Pepperdine had a tough week, as the Waves were swept by the Northwest schools Portland and Gonzaga.
The Waves put up a decent fight against Gonzaga, but in the end the Zags got the 83-68 victory in the Kennel, where the Bulldogs rarely lose.
Pepperdine proved to be no match for Ryan Nicholas and the Pilots on their senior day. Nicholas scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds en route to a 74-62 victory over the Waves.
The Waves will return to Southern California this upcoming week, but will travel down the Pacific Coast Highway to play archrival Loyola Marymount in Gersten Pavilion.
