Loyola Marymount continued its struggles this weekend when the Lions fell to its Southern Californian rival Pepperdine. An 18-6 run in the first half helped the Waves gain a lead on LMU, and despite successful comebacks in the second half, it wasn’t enough to ward off the Waves, who took the decision 80-69.
Coach Max Good now finds himself with a 3-8 record in conference, including a 1-8 record in the Lions last nine games. Although he has another fabulous recruiting class coming in – barring any setbacks – it poses the question: “How warm is Good’s seat at the moment?” Based on the Lions poor season last year and the rough spot they have hit this year, its heating up by the day.
