While they could not blow out LMU, despite almost pulling away twice, the Gaels used a 14-0 run very early in the first half to establish a 19 point lead and never looked back against LMU. Their guard defense significantly improved while Brad Waldow was dominant in the paint. It was the first truly complete game from Saint Mary’s in a long time and it should send a warning sign to the rest of the conference. A resurgent Jordan Giusti scored a career high 15 points on 4-5 shooting from beyond the arc. While Garrett Jackson still did not play, Dane Pineau played a solid game, tallying five blocks in 18 minutes.

Coming off one of their best performances of the year, the Gaels next travel to San Diego before heading into a monster clash against BYU in Provo.
