Jared Brownridge drilled a 3-pointer with 0.9 seconds left to give the Santa Clara Broncos one of the most exciting and surprising finishes of the year, beating Saint Mary’s 57-55 on Thursday night in Moraga. The freshman had 23 points for the Broncos, who improved to 3-2 in the WCC. However, the Broncos could not use the momentum coming off the SMC game, as they fell to last place Pacific 80-68 on Saturday in Stockton.

Brandon Clark had 20 points, but another slow start killed the Broncos, failing to score for the first 6:02 of the game. Santa Clara hosts San Diego on Thursday, which should be a perimeter oriented game between the array of Bronco guards against Johnny Dee.
