If the Cougars were able to pull out a victory against Iowa State or Wichita State – two ranked opponents – this list would probably look a lot different.

BYU lost narrowly to the Cyclones and the Shockers, but the Cougars lack of defense was exposed in those two contest. The Cougars gave up 90 and 75 points in the two games, and let Wichita State and Iowas State get easy buckets in transition.

Deficiencies aside, the Cougars have been stellar on the offensive end of the floor. BYU is averaging 88.8 points (16th in the nation) this season, and boasts one of the best scorers in the nation in Tyler Haws (23.7 PPG, 1st in WCC). Not many teams have been able to stop the Cougars prolific offense this season. Well, besides Wichita State.  But that was almost to be expected.
