1.    Gonzaga (#11, for now.)

Record: 7-1

Wins: Bryant, Colorado State, Oakland, Washington State, Chaminade, Arkansas, Coppin State

Loss: Dayton

Movement: Idle

Despite losing to Dayton in the opening round of the Maui Invitation, the Zags find themselves atop the power rankings for a second straight week.

The Bulldogs have been the most efficient offensive basketball team in the nation this season. Gonzaga is shooting 55.7 percent from the field (1st in the nation) and averaging 92.4 points (4th in the nation).

The Gonzaga backcourt has a lot to do with this offensive excellence. Kevin Pangos, Kyle Dranginis, David Stockton, Gary Bell Jr., and Gerard Coleman have combined to shoot 53.3 percent from the field and 52.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Rebounding and foul trouble are emerging as problems for the Gonzaga frontcourt. Those are the two biggest reasons the Zags fell to Dayton in Maui.
