Pepperdine Game Recap: Waves Improve to 5-2 With Win over Denver

After a loss to Green Bay in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout, Pepperdine rebounded with a dominating performance over Denver. The Waves smacked the Pioneers early and often and ended up winning the game by a score of 68-56.

Pepperdine shot a staggering 71.4% from the field, and seemingly could not miss the entire game.

The Waves were led by Stacy Davis, who had 22 points and 4 rebounds. Brendan Lane led the Waves in rebounding with 5, and chipped in 12 points and 5 assists as well. Freshman point guard Jeremy Major had 7 assists today. He has 19 total in the Great Alaska Shootout.

Jalen Love paced the Pioneers with 20 points and 3 steals. Freshman forward Drick Bernstine led Denver with 6 rebounds.
