Due to my family having DirectTV, and the Pacific vs. Oregon game being on the Pac-12 network, it meant I couldn’t tune into this game. Fortunately it doesn’t look like I missed a lot.

While keeping track of the game via live stats, I was frustrated that I couldn’t watch the game. Pacific was dominating Oregon early; the Tigers got off to a 21-10 lead on the Ducks. At the half, Pacific led by a score of 36-27, and things were looking good for the Tigers in Eugene.

However, things quickly soured. The Ducks went on 11-0 run to start the 2nd half to take a 40-36 lead. From there on out, the Tigers were absolutely dominated, and the Ducks ended up outscoring them by 30 points. The final score was Oregon 85, Pacific 62.

Pacific did not have an answer for Oregon forward Mike Moser. The graduate student transfer finished with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Joseph Young, Jason Calliste, and Damyean Dotson scored 15, 14 and 13 points in the winning effort.

For Pacific, senior forward Trevin Harris and freshman guard T.J. Wallace were the only signs of life. Harris and Wallace scored 14 points apiece to lead the Tigers in scoring.

Stat of the Game

Freshman TJ Wallace set his career high in scoring with 14 points today. Expect that number to be broken several times.

Keys to the Game Checklist

Force the ball inside – X

Although the Ducks did get 19 points from Mike Moser, the trio of guards consisting of Damyean Dotson, Jason Castille, and Joseph Young combined for 42 points for the Ducks. The Tigers let the guard’s torch them and they paid dearly.

Slow the Tempo – X

With only 63 total points scored in the first half, it looked as if the Tigers were dictating the tempo. However, the Ducks scored 56 points in the second half and sped up the pace to accommodate their style of play.
