G – Kevin Pangos (Gonzaga)

By Josh Horton

Kevin Pangos did something his freshman year that not many freshman can do; start at point guard for a top 25 program, and especially for one that is regarded as point guard U.

Pangos had a great deal of confidence bestowed on him by Mark Few from the very start of his Gonzaga career, and he has not disappointed. As the Zags floor general Pangos has led the Zags to two NCAA tournaments and a West Coast Conferene championship. However, he has been supported by a slew of big men such as Kelly Olynyk and Elias Harris who have since departed. This season Pangos will be relied on much more to produce offense. Pangos response to this this increase in responsibility could be indicative to the type of season the Zags have.
