G – Gary Bell Jr. (Gonzaga)

Does Gary Bell Jr. light up the stat-sheet for the Zags? No, but that doesn’t meant that he isn’t an essential piece of the Gonzaga basketball team, especially defensively (read my write-up about Bell in our individual awards write-up if you need any convincing).
Bell has been overshadowed in the scoring department in seasons past by the likes of Kevin Pangos, Kelly Olynyk, and Elias Harris. However, things could change this season with Olynyk and Harris gone. The Bulldogs will rely heavily on its guards this season, and as a result Bell will have more looks. Bell has shown in the past that he can score in bunches (see last season’s game @ Saint Mary’s), and could potentially be the Zags leading scorer this season.
