In a conference with fantastic point guards at just about every level, the Pilots have not truly competed at the position since TJ Campbell last ran the point. Alec Wintering, a 5-10 point guard from Concord, North Carolina should help Portland close the gap. He will battle with junior David Carr and sophomore Bryce Pressley for the starting PG position, but Wintering is the only true PG of the three. Of all of the newcomers for the Pilots, Wintering should have the greatest impact. If he can manage his turnovers, and add a solid three point shot he should be a huge upgrade and have a major impact on this veteran squad.
