7. Pacific
Record Last Season: 22-13 (13-5 Big West) NCAA Tournament 1st Round
Key Losses: Lorenzo McCloud, Travis Fulton, Colin Beaty.
Key Returners: Tony Gill, Samu Taku, Ross Rivera
Key Additions: T.J. Wallace, David Taylor
After winning the Big West last season, Pacific is expected to finish 7th in the West Coast Conference this season. Welcome to the WCC, Tigers.
While replacing starting point guard Lorenzo McCloud will be challenging, it is not impossible. At WCC media day, head coach Ron Verlin suggested three candidates for that role: freshmen David Taylor and T.J. Wallace, and senior Andrew Bock, who he mentioned was the leader. Samu Taku will tag alongside one of those players at the shooting guard spot. On the wing, Trevin Harris is the best option to Travis Fulton, who graduated after last season.
The post play will be stellar for the Tigers this season, as they return Tony Gill and Ross Rivera. Both players are expected to lead the Tigers post scoring this season. Khalil Kelly started 34 of the Tigers 35 games last year, and will likely lead Pacific in rebounding.
