Rice or Rider (Cable Car Classic)
Saturday, November 30th. Santa Clara, Calif.
Last Season (Rice): 5-26 (1-15 C-USA).
Last Season (Rider): 19-15 (12-6 MAAC). CIT Second Round.
A loss in the first round will likely pit the Broncos against the Rice Owls, who had a poor season last year. With the loss of leading scorer Tamir Jackson (17.7 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 2.5 APG, 1.4 SPG), things could be even tougher this season for the Owls.
Rider will likely be the opponent if the Broncos take care of business against NDSU. Rider will rely primarily on senior guard Anthony Myles, who averaged 12.0 points and 4.6 rebounds last season.
