Northern Kentucky played its season opener last season against San Diego, and the Norse fell 65-61. Toreros forward Dennis Kramer was a thorn in the side of the Norse, leading San Diego in both points (15) and rebounds (6). The Toreros’ backcourt, comprised of Christopher Anderson and Johnny Dee, combined for 27 points. Kramer is gone, but Anderson and Dee return this season. The Norse will rely on senior guard Chad Jackson to go toe to toe with the vaunted Torero backcourt.
