Chaminade or Baylor (Maui Invitational)

Tuesday, November 26th. Lahaina, Hawaii.

Last Season (Baylor): 23-14 (9-9 Big 12). NIT Champions.

Last Season (Chimanade): 19-11 (14-4 Pac-West). NCAA West Regionals (D-II).

The opponent that Gonzaga faces in the second round of the Maui Invitational will be dictated by whether the Bulldogs take care of business against Dayton. If they win, they will likely play Baylor, and if they lose they will likely take on Chaminade. No disrespect to Chaminade, but they likely will not be able to compete with Baylor since they are a high major division one program, and the Silverswords are a division two team. However, people said that last year before Chaminade defeated Texas in the same tournament. If the Gonzaga Bulldogs end up matching up with the Silverswords, they should take care of business. Baylor will be a little tougher, however. The Bears are returning stud big man Isaiah Austin, who will be a tough matchup for the Gonzaga frontcourt. Baylor and Gonzaga met last season, and the Zags took down the Bears by a score of 94-87.
