New Mexico State

Saturday, December 7th. Spokane, Wash.

Last Season: 24-11 (14-4 WAC). NCAA Tournament 1st Round.

Many people around college basketball consider Gonzaga to be a team with a great international influence. In that respect, the Bulldogs do not even compare to New Mexico State. International players make up 50% of the Aggies’ roster, which trumps the Bulldogs’ 14%. The Aggies won the WAC tournament to earn an NCAA tournament bid last season, but were defeated by Saint Louis by 20 points in the opening round. New Mexico State is returning its leading scorer, Daniel Mullings (13.8 PPG). This is possibly the most underrated team on Gonzaga’s non-conference schedule, and the Aggies will provide a great contest for the Bulldogs.
