Today, Evan Daniels from Scout.com announced on twitter that Josh Perkins had cut his list to 3 schools. Minnesota, UCLA, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs all made the cut, leaving Kentucky and UConn out of the mix. Even though, Perkins transferred to the highly vaunted Huntington Prep in West Virginia, the East Coast has not made a significant impact on his recruitment. He is set to make his decision this Saturday.

For those that are not aware of Josh Perkins, he is a four or five star point guard in the class of 2014, originally from Regis, Colorado. As alluded to before, Perkins transferred to Huntington Prep in Huntington, West Virginia to play his senior year. Scout.com has him as the 5th ranked point guard in the nation, and Perkins is considered one of the elite passers in the recruiting scene. His 6’2”, 180 lb. frame is the prototypical point guard physique.

Mark Few and Gonzaga has been hot on Perkins’ trail for a while now, and it seems to be paying off. On 247 sports, the crystal ball for Perkins is 85% Gonzaga and 15% UCLA among 27 votes. Today Adam Zagoria from SNYTV tweeted the following:

The Zags appear to be in an extremely good place with Perkins, which is good considering it is so close to his announcement date. Gonzaga fans will likely be counting the minutes until Saturday, because it could be a monumental day for the program.
