No. 2- Stacy Davis (Pepperdine)

By Josh Horton

The West Coast Conferenece’s newcomer of the year pops up on this list at number two. Pepperdine has had their troubles this offseason, but there is one bright spot. That would be sophomore forward Stacy Davis. As a frehsman, Davis was phenomenal; he averaged 11.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season. Those 7.3 rebounds per game led the Waves, and Davis cemented himself as the primary force on the glass for Marty Wilson’s squad. The young and talented Davis is coming back, unlike fellow double digit scoring averagers Lorne Jackson (graduation) and Jordan Baker (transfer). Pepperdine will need to ride the coattails of Davis in order to have any success this season.
