No. 1- Cole Dickerson (San Francisco)

By James Stapleton

During non-conference play last year, Dickerson flirted with the NCAA’s top spot for rebounds per game and ultimately ended the year ranked 19th in the nation. Dickerson’s rebounding may have been helpful, but his shooting, especially from beyond the arch, became invaluable for the Green & Gold. Filling a scoring void left by Perris Blackwell after the 2011-2012 season, Cole led the Dons last year in both scoring and rebounding in 2012-2013. Platooning in late game situations with counterpart Cody Doolin, Cole found the ball in his during tight matchups and usually delivered.

Dickerson is a hopeful for 2013-2014 WCC Player of the Year and easily one of the top five players in the WCC. During play in the San Francisco Pro-Am, it is clear that he has gained more muscle and will use that to his advantage this upcoming season. Keep an eye out for number 25 this season at the Hilltop.
