No. 4- Cody Doolin (San Francisco)

By James Stapleton

Doolin is the longest tenured starter in the Green & Gold lineup and easily considered the face of the Dons. Well, maybe his Justin Bieber-like hairstyle is what most people will remember as his signature look.

As one of two seniors, Doolin has recorded the most minutes than any other USF teammate. This point guard also gives the most heart – literally. In 2011, the Dons implemented use of heart rate monitors during practice, work outs, lifting and game day competition. Doolin consistently put the most effort out on the court typically burning 1,700 calories over the course of a 40-minute game [http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=ncb&id=6135597]. Doolin always found the ball in his hands when it mattered most last season. He led the team up court and was the team general game-in and game-out.

Last year, Cody was the only starter returning for the 2012-2013 season [http://www.sfgate.com/collegesports/article/Doolin-is-new-look-Dons-standard-bearer-4018190.php#photo-3706219]. This year, the Dons will return most of their squad and three starters. With a year of team chemistry behind them, things can only get better for the Dons and Cody Doolin.
