Several former WCC players were playing quarterfinal games in the Las Vegas summer league today. This is how they fared.
Matthew Dellavedova
Dellavedova continued to struggle offensively in the Cavaliers 82-76 loss to the Miami Heat. Delly had only 3 points on 1-4 shooting, and struggled to generate any offense for the Cav’s. He did have 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal in the contest, however.
Josh Heytvelt
The former Gonzaga big man had one of the worst +/- I have ever seen in such little action. Heytvelt’s plus-minus was -21, proving that his presence on the court was detrimental to the Cavs. He had 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal in the loss.
Micah Downs
Downs ended his summer league on a bit of a sour note. The shooting guard was 0-4 from the 3 point line, which is a concerning stat based on Down’s skill set. Downs had 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in the Raptors 103-98 loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Elias Harris
Harris had a phenomenal outing for the Lakers, despite the 83-77 loss to the Golden State Warriors. Harris had 17 points on 7-13 shooting, as well as 2 rebounds and 2 steals. This is the type of performance that gives Harris the best chance of making the Lakers regular season roster.
Robert Sacre
Sacre had a decent performance in the Lakers loss to the Warriors. He had 6 points and 10 rebounds in the contest.
Drew Viney
Viney did not see any action in the Lakers loss to the Warriors.

The WCC is now completely out of the tournament, with the Raptors, Lakers, and Cavaliers losing yesterday. That being said, it was awesome to see the WCC so well represented in the summer league. Now we wait and see how many players can manage to make NBA rosters come fall.
