The Saint Mary’s (16-7) offense has struggled the last two games to say the least as the Gaels have fallen to fourth place heading into Los Angeles where they will face LMU (11-12) on Thursday night.

After winning four straight homes games, Saint Mary’s had one of their worse offensive performances in recent memory where they shot a mere 25% for the game in a loss to San Diego and then came up short again two days later at BYU.

Center Brad Waldow was the lone spotlight for Saint Mary’s as he scored 18 and 25 points respectively in the losses.

LMU has had their struggles as well, winning only one of their last nine games, while falling a tie for last place in the WCC standings.

In the first meeting less than two weeks ago, the Gaels dominated in a 89-61 romp, with Waldow leading the way with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Saint Mary’s forced 19 turnovers in the blow out win despite 17 points from Anthony Ireland.

The Gaels shooting will be the key to the game as they have struggled to shoot on the road as of late, especially from three point range where they have shot 6-32 (18%) their last two games.

LMU on the other hand will have to eliminate the turnovers as in the first game in order to pull off the upset.
