San Francisco Hands LMU its First WCC Loss

The San Francisco Dons defeated the Loyola Marymount Lions yesterday by a score of 75-61 to get USF back to its winning ways after losing to Gonzaga on Monday.

The Dons were led by Cole Dickerson, who scored 20 points on the evening, a team-high. Avry Holmes was not far behind with 16 points. Matt Glover’s 12 points and 11 rebounds was good for a double-double. Five different USF players led the team in assists with 2.

The LMU Lions were led by none other than Anthony Ireland, who had 18 points on the night. Chase Flint and Gabe Levin’s five rebounds were team-highs for the Lions. Nick Stover chipped in 15 points and 4 steals for the Lions.

√ Kruize Pinkins: Pinkins did not do anything particularly special (9 points 8 rebounds), but was solid and did not hinder the Dons.

The Penn State transfer played his best game in West Coast Conference play this season with a double-double (12 points, 11 rebounds). This was Glover’s first every collegiate double-double, and it might as well be his best performance of his college career.
