The Broncos were led once again by freshman guard Jared Brownridge, who scored 21 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and had 2 assists. Brownridge has played very well for a freshman, and could potentially be the best scorer in the conference his junior or senior year.

Nate Kratch had a productive game as well for the Broncos, grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds. Kratch was two points short of a double-double, netting 8 for the Broncos tonight.

Jerry Brown was very active on the offensive glass, pulling down 2 offensive rebounds that led to second chance points. Brown scored 16 points tonight to go along with his 5 rebounds.  Foul trouble only permitted Brown to play 24 minutes tonight, which is too low for a player of his quality. He needs to limit his fouls in order to see more action and subsequently help the Broncos in the process.

Evan Roquemore did a little of everything tonight, scoring 12 points, grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists. As Roquemore’s play improves, more success will ensue for the Broncos.

For the visiting Radford Highlanders, R.J. Price led the team in scoring with 16. Jalen Carethers led the team in rebounding with 7.

The Bottom Line

The Broncos have now won 3 games in a row, and it looks as if they are turning around their season. The more games Evan Roquemore plays coming off his back injury, the better the Broncos look.

It will be interesting to see how the Broncos perform the rest of the week. The Broncos take on Sacred Heart (2-8) and UNLV (4-4) this upcoming week.
