Loyola Marymount received its second victory of the season when it took down South Dakota State by a score of 98-89.

Forward Ben Dickinson led the way for the Lions today, leading the Lions scorers with 22 points. Anthony Ireland had another stellar second half, and posted 20 points and 12 assista. Freshman Gabe Levin chipped in 20 points, and led the Lions in rebounding along with Dickinson and Ireland with 6.

On the SDSU side of things, Jordan Dykstra led the Jackrabbits with 22 points and 11 rebounds. His double-double was not able to lift South Dakota State over the Lions. Brayden Carlson and Chad White contributed 19 and 18 points respectively.

The Loyola Marymount freshmen had another solid outing. As stated before, Gabe Levin had a great game with 20 points and 6 rebounds, but guards Evan Payne and Nino Jackson had solid games as well. Payne had 9 points and Jackson had 5 points en route to the Lions victory this evening.

Ben Dickinson continues to impress. His performance tonight should solidify him in the Lions starting lineup, and Dickinson looks like the go-to-guy in the post for the Lions, especially on the offensive side of the court.

Next Game: Thursday (November 14th) vs. Long Beach State. 7 PM PST.
