In less than 24 hours, two WCC men’s basketball programs landed verbal commits from under the radar small forward prospects. Here is brief recap of these commits.

Pacific Lands Saddleback College Wing

The Pacific coaching staff traveled down south to Saddleback College to find Eric Thompson, a 6-8 forward originally from Pontiac, Mich. Before Saddleback, the Michigan native played at Lake Michigan College, a junior college located in Benton Harbor, Mich. While at LMC, Thompson averaged 9.7 points and 9.6 rebounds. He then transferred to Saddleback in 2012, and sat out last season. He will play the upcoming season for Saddleback.

Devin Wyatt Verbals to LMU

Devin Wyatt, a 6-8 small forward from DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, committed to LMU this afternoon. According to ESPN and Rivals, Wyatt was drawing interest from Denver, George Mason, Houston, Iona, UNC Greensboro, Sam Houston State, Seattle, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Tulsa. According to ESPN college basketball analyst, this is a steal for LMU:

There is not a ton of information on these guys, but there is an impressive video of Wyatt blocking 12 shots in one game. You can watch it here:

Each school now has three commitments a piece for the 2014 class. Both classes have a lot of open scholarships to fill, and these two players will help out a great deal.
