The summer league format is now a little different and features a tournament to conclude the session. That said tournament began yesterday, with the 12 lowest ranked teams facing off against each other. Those 12 teams featured multiple WCC players, who are looking to continue there summer league.

Lorne Jackson

Jackson did not play in the Washington Wizards 90-83 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies today, making it the third game out of four that Jackson did not record any minutes in. Each team is guaranteed 5 games, so the Wizards will play in essentially a meaningless game where the former Pepperdine guard can log some PT.

Luke Sikma

In 12 minutes of action, the former Portland forward scored 2 points and had 5 rebounds in the 92-54 blowout over the Sacramento Kings. Sikma and the Minnesota Timberwolves will move on to the next round of the Las Vegas summer league tournament.

Mychel Thompson

Thompson played extremely well in the T-wolves romping of the Kings. Klay’s older brother scored 7 points on 3 of 4 shooting, snagged 3 rebounds, and had 1 assist and 2 steals. Overall, it was a all-around good performance from Thompson.

Brandon Davies

The former BYU standout made little impact in the Clippers 89-95 loss against the Dallas Mavericks. He only had 2 points, and only grabbed 1 rebounds in the loss. The Clippers are now eliminated from the Las Vegas summer league tournament.
