Kelly Olynyk might not have played as well today than he did yesterday, but he continues to impress people throughout the country with his play. Olynyk and the Celtics annihilated the Detriot Pistons by a score of 93 to 63. Olynyk contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds. The former Gonzaga standout started the game at power forward for the second consecutive contest, once again playing alongside Fab Melo.

Olynyk did things in this game other than scoring, showing his versatility as a basketball player. The big K.O., as the announcers on NBA TV called him, recorded 3 assists, and an astonishing 5 steals. He was very active in disrupting the opposing teams passing lanes and generated a ton of steals as a result. His skills as a passer is nothing new for Bulldog fans; he was a facilitator as well as a scorer time and time again during his stay at Gonzaga.

The highlight of the game for Olynyk was with 3 minutes left in the third quarter, when he snatched a ball that one of his teammates saved from going out of bounds, and nailed a three-pointer that he stepped into. It was a play that one would typically expect from a shooting guard, but the seven footer from Kamloops, British Columbia was the one making that type of play in this instance.

Next Game: Tomorrow. 8 AM PST vs. Indiana Pacers. NBA TV.
